Erin Mulligan Graber, Esq.

Ms. Graber began her career in 1997 as a victim's advocate through Interact, Wake County's advocacy organization for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Her experience with victim support and advocacy motivated her to enroll in law school at Loyola University School of Law (New Orleans, LA) in 2000.

After graduating law school, Erin first served as a law clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge William Webb in the Eastern District of North Carolina. In 2004, she then entered private practice in Raleigh representing clients in criminal and family law matters. She founded Graber Law Firm, PLLC, in November of 2006.

Ms. Graber conducts trial litigation in criminal defense, family law and domestic violence, and also serves as a Guardian ad Litem to juveniles. The Committee of Indigent Appointments has deemed her qualified to represent juveniles and defendants on any and all criminal charges. Ms. Graber's extensive courtroom experience in these areas have enabled her to develop a broad expertise in legal, procedural and technical details.

Legal Leader

In 2007, Ms. Graber represented North Carolina as a participant in the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia. This intensive 2-week trial school assisted in her development of evidence and trial skills. In 2009, she was appointed by the Wake County Public Defender to represent North Carolina's criminally insane.

In 2012, Ms. Graber was appointed by Governor Beverly Perdue as a District Court Judge in the 10th Judicial District, serving the remainder of the unexpired term of Judge Jane Gray. She returned to private practice in early 2013.

While not in court, Ms. Graber serves on several boards and committees, including the Wake Women Attorney's and the Wake County Academy of Criminal Trial Lawyers. She also serves as the attorney representative to the STAND Program, a project that focuses on teens dealing with homelessness and domestic violence issues. Additionally, she has been a volunteer attorney through Legal Aid North Carolina representing victims in domestic violence protective orders since 2004.
